The UK’s leading electronic point of sale (EPoS) solutions provider, Nisyst, has called on smaller retailers to develop online sales channels before next Christmas or risk missing out on massive sales. 7th December 2009 was one of the busiest days ever for online sales with over £350 Million spent by UK consumers, the majority with major outlets rather than with smaller independent retailers.
Bob Chunilal, managing director at Nisyst said; “Every year the amount spent online increases but many smaller retailers are missing vital sales by using traditional high street retail outlets rather than following consumer demand and making products and services available online. Many of them mistakenly think that the cost of developing an online business is too expensive, but with new EPoS solutions, such as NPoS Enterprise, websites can be quickly integrated into an existing business structure at minimal cost which could mean greater sales volumes in 2010.”
As part of their existing NPoS Enterprise electronic point of sale system, Nisyst has developed unique tools and functionalities that mean retailers can be up and running online in a matter of days, enabling them to take orders, dispatch products and provide stock control all in one system.
NPoS Enterprise can be integrated into single site or multi location retailers and includes production of picking lists sent direct to a store or warehouse, integration with online payment gateways, customer order tracking, direct plug in to websites to display products and reviews as well as additional re-marketing support.
