Parsippany, NJ. / Maidenhead, UK November 12, 2008 – Dialogic Corporation (“Dialogic”), a global provider of telecommunications media and signalling technologies, today announced that the Dialogic Media Gateway Series (DMG Series) and the Dialogic Integrated Media Gateways (IMG) are compliant with OpenScape Voice (former HiPath 8000) from Siemens Enterprise Communications (SEN). OpenScape Voice is a carrier-grade Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based soft-switch which employs genuine open standards and is part of a complete Unified Communications solution, the OpenSOA (Service Oriented Architecture) from SEN. Both the DMG and IMG support all SEN PBX’s and non-SEN PBX’s for deployments of OpenScape Voice.
“Siemens Enterprise Communications and Dialogic have successfully collaborated on communication solutions in the enterprise market segment for many years,” stated Dr. Udo Bochum, Vice President Partner Management, SEN “as we deliver on the vision of open standard based Unified Communications solutions, we see a parallel vision at Dialogic, and an ability to execute together on that vision in worldwide markets.”
"Dialogic and Siemens Enterprise Communications now have compatible protocols, both for TDM and IP integrations." stated Franz-Josef Eberle, Director of Enterprise Product Management from Dialogic. "The Dialogic Media Gateway products bring decades of application enablement experience to the transition from traditional circuit-switched networks and PBX’s to VoIP, using the SIP protocol. SEN partners and customers can now rely on compliance-tested gateways from Dialogic to migrate to VoIP based Unified Communications solutions."
The DMG Series seamlessly merge traditional telephony with IP networks to help businesses migrate to IP telephony and Unified Communications. The DMG Series provide a wide range of TDM to SIP interoperability and integration protocols with simplified configuration and management consoles for ease of deployment. The standards based DMG Series portfolio ranges from small devices for branch offices to high-channel density gateways for use in headquarters and call centres.
The IMGs are carrier-grade VoIP gateways that support both media and signalling in a single chassis. They allow service providers and large enterprises to add new telephony services quickly, and give them a clear migration path to an all-IP network. They provide any-to-any voice network connectivity and can deliver SIP services into legacy PRI, CAS, and SS7 networks, as well as IP-to-IP transcoding for network peering applications. The high-density IMG products link all types of PBX’s and networks to help businesses meet the demands of large managed or premises-based SEN OpenScape Voice deployments.
