Specialist manufacturer of EPoS systems for the retail, leisure and hospitality markets, J2 Retail Systems (J2), has appointed point-of-sale solutions specialist, Uniwell Systems (UK) Ltd, as a distributor. The agreement enables both companies to capitalise on the growing demand for PC-based EPoS products.
Uniwell Systems (UK) Ltd is part of the Uniwell Corporation global distribution network and has been supplying EPoS systems to the hospitality and retail markets for over 20 years. Today, the company is a leading, value-added distributor of EPoS hardware, software and peripherals. Its products are sold via an extensive reseller channel that covers the UK and Ireland.
The new partnership is part of a strategy on the part of J2 to extend its market reach and presence. The agreement has been negotiated by Daniel Warwick whom J2 recently appointed to develop its indirect business channel.

The new relationship provides immediate opportunities for J2 to sell to Uniwell’s UK-based dealers. It is also planned to extend Uniwell’s territory to Europe, Canada and the USA. The appoinment compliments J2’s existing distribution partners in the UK and Ireland.
The partnership will commence with Uniwell selling J2’s latest and most powerful PC-based EPoS, the J2 580. This product line comes with three processor options and is destined for clients that wish to run more resource-hungry applications. It incorporates many of the features, such as flexible mounting, that have made the J2 560, launched a year ago, the system of choice for numerous retail and hospitality clients.
Jonathan Hutchings is Managing Director at Uniwell. He feels that his company now has a stronger reseller proposition, based on differentiated offerings for all client types and levels within the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors.
